Employee Owned The Nursery Research & Planning announces management changes

Brand, communications, and experience research specialist The Nursery announced today (4th January 2022) a reorganised management structure.

Peter Dann, Founding Partner steps aside as CEO with immediate effect although he will still take an active role in building the profile of The Nursery through NPD and brand projects. Peter will continue to act as key liaison with the Employee Ownership Trust and will Chair the Board of Directors until he retires at the end of 2022.

David Alterman, current COO is to become CEO. David was previously one of the three majority shareholders and joined the company in 2007 to launch its quant offer. David will be responsible for overseeing the company strategy, business performance and will continue to develop new and existing business.

Business Director, Melanie Bigoni is to become Managing Director being responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day running of the company aside from the research offer. As well as business and operational activities, Melanie will be instrumental in developing the marketing, sales and new business outputs.

Pauline McGowan, currently Research Lead is to take the new role of Head of Strategy. Pauline’s long career at The Nursery makes her perfectly placed to lead the development of the company strategy and principles. She will continue to add strategic value to clients and the research offer of the company as well as further developing Thought Leadership and the external profile of The Nursery.

Elena Geatches, Head of Health and Dr Emma McHarg, Head of Data Science join an expanded management group to reflect the focus on these two critical new areas for the business. Ben Moxon will assume new responsibilities for Business Development, Gareth Simmonds and Pete Canning will continue to head up our core qualitative and quantitative research services. Neil Barnett will continue as Finance Director.
