Quantitative Research Executive

We are looking for a Research Executive to join our close knit, friendly, quantitative team, working together to achieve great results for a large variety and range of brands. This person would ideally have a year’s market research agency experience (a placement, internship or permanent role).

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, takes a degree of responsibility and has a real interest and passion for brands and advertising. Good communication skills are a must.

You will be assisting on both tracking and ad hoc projects across a range of sectors with a wide range of brands. You will need to be able to work flexibly to tight deadlines when required.

Job Role:

Assists in the design and implementation of variety of quantitative research projects under the direction of senior staff.  A team player and who is developing core research skills while delivering an excellent product that answers the client brief, while reflecting company values.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Focuses on developing core skills and is gaining a good understanding of project requirements
  • Works collaboratively on all aspects of a project as directed including elements of costing, design, processing, managing suppliers and ensuring good quality control
  • Is able organise themselves to deliver tasks on time and prioritise effectively showing the right levels of initiative and consultation
  • Demonstrates a willingness to work co-operatively with others for the overall benefit of the company
  • Communicates with clients and colleagues in a confident and articulate manner and adds intelligent and useful contributions to debriefs
Technical skills: 
  • Drafts simple questionnaires / modules that answer specific issues
  • Liaises with, and has a good relationship with, suppliers
  • Monitors fieldwork progress and draws attention to potential issues
  • Sets up and manages a schedule
  • Drafts analysis specs. Understands and uses filters, nets and logic. Can code open ended answers.
  • Updates reports and slides accurately
  • Can present part of a presentation in a clear engaging way

Quant Research Manager

The Nursery is a boutique research company specialising in brand strategy and communications. We carry out qualitative and quantitative research for prominent blue-chip brands across a huge range of sectors including FMCG, financial, automotive, leisure and healthcare.

We are looking for a Quantitative Research Manager to join our close knit and friendly team, working across a large variety of brands and sectors. This person will ideally have spent c.5 years at a market research agency and will be coming from a brand and comms focussed research role.  

As a Research Manager at The Nursery you will have ownership of both ad hoc and tracking projects from inception to completion. You will be a key team player and deliver excellent service while helping to develop existing client relationships.


Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Writing research proposals and attending pitches’
  • Writing questionnaires that demonstrate an understanding of the brand, market, and client issue
  • Conducting analysis that answers the client brief in an interesting way
  • Putting together presentations with clear objectives, story, summary, recommendations and next steps
  • Presenting results in a confident and engaging way
  • Actively coaching and mentoring junior staff
  • Writing blogs or White Papers for marketing use
