Quantitative Analytical Research Executive

The Nursery Research and Planning is a market research company specialising in brand strategy and communications. We carry out qualitative and quantitative research, and data analytics, for prominent blue-chip brands across a huge range of sectors including FMCG, financial, automotive, leisure and healthcare.

We are looking for an Analytical Research Executive to join our close knit, friendly, quantitative team, working together to achieve great results for a large variety and range of brands. This person would ideally have a year’s market research agency experience (a placement, internship or permanent role).

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, takes a degree of responsibility and has a real interest and passion for brands and advertising. Good communication skills are a must.

You will be assisting on both tracking and ad hoc projects across a range of sectors with a wide range of brands. You will need to be able to work flexibly to tight deadlines when required.

Job Role:

You will be contributing to projects from commission to completion and assisting in the design and implementation of a variety of quantitative research projects under the direction of senior staff.  A team player who will be developing core research skills while delivering an excellent product that answers the client brief, while reflecting company values.

Responsibilities: 

Focuses on developing core skills and is gaining a good understanding of project requirements

Works collaboratively on all aspects of a project as directed including elements of costing, design, processing, managing suppliers and ensuring good quality control

Is able organise themselves to deliver tasks on time and prioritise effectively showing the right levels of initiative and consultation

Demonstrates a willingness to work co-operatively with others for the overall benefit of the company

Communicates with clients and colleagues in a confident and articulate manner and adds intelligent and useful contributions to debriefs

Technical skills: 

Questionnaire design, scripting and programming of online surveys

Ability to analyse and interpret survey data

Practical working knowledge of analytical packages, e.g. SPSS and ‘R’ syntax or similar

Manages fieldwork suppliers, constructing fieldwork quotas and monitors fieldwork progress

Design and structure of data and analysis tables to meet the client brief

Experience of excel for the creation of dashboard reports and interactive excels

Good written skills to contribute to final project reports

We are looking for a Senior Research Executive to join our close knit and friendly team, working across a large variety of brands and sectors. This person will ideally have spent c.2 years at a market research agency and will have an interest in brands and communications.  

As a Senior Research Executive at The Nursery you will be working on a variety of both ad hoc and tracking projects from inception to completion. You will be a key team player who takes pride in their work. You will need to work flexibly to tight deadlines.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

Contributing to proposals and debriefs

Drafting questionnaires

Creating impactful, accurate charts for presentations

Taking ownership of short / KPI reports

Working collaboratively on all aspects of a project including costing, design, processing, managing suppliers and ensuring good quality control

Actively coaching Research Executives

Ensuring that all client communication is confident and articulate and presented in an intelligent, thoughtful manner

Continuing to develop core research skills and having a good understanding of what each project requires

Qualitative Senior Research Executive

We are looking for a Senior Research Executive to join our close knit and friendly Qualitative team, working across a large variety of brands and sectors. This person will ideally have c. 2 years’ experience in market research and a strong interest in brands and communications.

As a Senior Research Executive you will assist in the design and implementation of a variety of research projects under the direction of senior Partners. You’ll be a team player who has good project management experience and can moderate in person and online qualitative fieldwork.

We’re looking for someone who:

Understands a range of qual methods

Knows the strengths and weaknesses of qual methods, and knows when to recommend each to deliver against a brief

Is able to independently write discussion guides

Is confident and capable when conducting viewed in-person groups

Comfortable working in project teams to analyse and distil findings

Knows what a good debrief looks like and is keen to contribute in write-up and presentation

Displays good attention to detail and can write with authority in a style that is conversational and clear, but professional and intelligent

Marketing & Operations Executive

Job role:

This is an opportunity for an experienced Marketing & Operations Executive to work with us. The Nursery is an independent research agency who work with a wide range of brands across a variety of sectors. The role will focus mainly on supporting and contributing to the marketing function of the agency both internally and externally as well as assisting with some operational duties.

Responsibilities: 

Marketing

Responsible for all agency external marketing materials, including website, print, digital, email marketing and social media (Twitter & LinkedIn) with a view to raising the agencies profile.

Assist in executing marketing plans.

Assist and develop internal communication initiatives within the agency about marketing updates, employee ownership, events, new business, social events, etc.

Work with internal stakeholders to curate engaging and visually appealing relevant content, thought leadership, email marketing campaigns.

Develop and communicate new initiatives into the agency, share internal resources and develop best practise sharing sessions.

Keep up to date with industry events and identify opportunities for speaking and attending

Manage the annual events calendar and organise attendance – client and partner events.

Identify awards entries that have winning potential such as MRS Oppies, MRS Awards, AQR and APG Awards, etc. as well as managing attendance, coverage, budget and administration.

CRM management – keep databases clean, up to date and GDPR compliant.

Full responsibility for the internal weekly newsletter and regular company meetings

Operations

Manages reception, meeting and greeting visitors, providing refreshments and acts as the main point of contact for all guests.

Act as the first port of call for all enquiries and fields calls.

Manages calendars and diaries and schedules company-wide meetings.

Manages meeting room bookings, ensures all rooms are set up correctly, provides refreshments and organises catering as required.

Manages office admin such as sending outgoing post, distributing incoming post, handling deliveries, scanning documents, photocopying, printing, filing and other ad-hoc duties.

Monitors and replenishes all office stock, including stationery, IT and grocery supplies.

Helps to maintain an organised and well-presented office environment. Daily duties include emptying the dishwasher, ensuring surface areas remain clear and other general tidying.

Prepares fieldwork packs for researchers, logs all respondent incentives and petty cash.

Keeps accurate company records and updates information as required.

Provides varied ad-hoc support to members of the team.

We are offering a salary of: £23,000 - £25,000 dependent on experience plus benefits of Employee Ownership Bonus (profit related), 25 days holiday + your birthday + Christmas close (3 days), free eye tests, Private Medial, pension, cycle to work scheme, Partner resource groups and all the expected social events and health and wellbeing activity.
